DAVID LYNCH
His Work, His World
An in-depth exploration of the work and life of cinema and TV’s greatest cult creator, gorgeously designed and packed with stunning photographs.

Without David Lynch, our world will be a much more ordinary place. As a filmmaker, designer, musician, photographer, visual artist and living avatar of all things uncanny, for more than five decades his influence pervaded every corner of our culture.
Best known for his game-changing TV series Twin Peaks, Lynch fused the surreal and the everyday in big-screen masterpieces like his DIY debut Eraserhead, heartbreaking costume drama The Elephant Man, the visionary original version of Dune and boundary-pushing mystery thrillers Blue Velvet, Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive, earning three Academy Award nominations for Best Director and winning the film world’s top prize, the Palme d’Or at Cannes, for Wild at Heart.

But Lynch was also a cult figure in his own right, releasing music under his own name, staging art shows, photography exhibitions and design showcases from LA to Milan and sharing his spiritual philosophy and love of Transcendental Meditation with audiences around the globe. In the process he acquired a fanbase to rival that of any rock star, with conventions, film festivals and club nights dedicated to his work.

Written by lifelong Lynch obsessive Tom Huddleston - part of the team behind the legendary Twin Peaks UK Festival - David Lynch: His Work, His World covers everything from Lynch’s early experimental shorts to his final masterpiece Twin Peaks: The Return, exploring his many and varied influences and telling the full story of how he worked, created, thought and lived.
